The weave
Linen woven with tissue: a fine metallic weft runs through the cloth, so the whole saree carries a soft gold sheen while staying light and airy to wear.
A tissue linen saree is linen woven with a fine tissue weft, so the whole drape carries a soft gold sheen while staying light and airy. Ours have a slim half-inch zari border and a pallu that turns into a broad band of shimmering zari, finished with tassels. Each is a 5.5 m saree with a 1 m running blouse piece, at ₹3,950 with free delivery across India.
It looks dressed-up but weighs very little. That makes it the saree for long days: a haldi that runs into the evening, a puja that starts at dawn, nine nights of Navratri visits, a Durga Puja pandal crawl. It is also kind to warm weather in a way that heavier silks are not.
Soft pastels for daytime and summer functions: lavender, baby pink, mint green, sky blue, powder blue, sage green, lemon yellow. Neutrals with a gold glow: ivory gold, champagne beige, rose gold, dusky mauve. Bright festival colours: coral pink, onion pink, violet, magenta, saffron orange, sindoor red, mango yellow and parrot green.
Dry clean only. Store it folded in a cotton cloth, away from damp, and refold along new lines every few months so the zari does not crease. More in our saree care guide.
Not sure about a colour? Ask on WhatsApp for a daylight video of the exact saree before you order. Tissue catches the light differently indoors and outdoors, and we would rather you see it first.

Yes. It is light, comfortable for hours, and comes in yellows and greens that suit haldi. As with any saree, turmeric can stain, so choose a colour you will not mind marking.
Dry clean only. Do not machine wash or wring it, as that can damage the zari.
